Ten buildings, ten prices
Ten buildings, ten prices, one menu. The build menu opens with Ctrl and a left click, and it is the only place in the client that prints every cost at once.

- IN-GAMEthe client's own one-line description for each slot
- OFFICIAL ONLYSteam lists the buildings; no store page prints their prices

All ten, with the client's own words
| Building | What the tooltip says | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| City | Increases max population | 125,000 |
| Factory | Produces units | 125,000 |
| Port | Allows naval units | 125,000 |
| Defense Post | Increases defenses | 50,000 |
| Missile Silo | Launches missiles | 1,000,000 |
| SAM Launcher | Anti-aircraft defense | 1,500,000 |
| Warship | Battleship unit | 250,000 |
| Atom Bomb | Nuclear weapon | 750,000 |
| Hydrogen Bomb | Thermonuclear weapon | 5,000,000 |
| MIRV | Multiple independently targetable warheads | 35,000,000 |
The panel groups them in reading order: the four economy buildings first (city, factory, port, defence post), then the war end (silo, SAM, warship, and the three warheads). The bar along the bottom of the match carries the same ten in the same order on keys 1 to 0.
One of those prices is the first one, not the only one: once a city is standing, its cell reads 250,000 with a badge counting how many you own. See cities for the two readings behind it.
Two slots describe themselves differently in two places
Hovering a slot in the bottom bar and opening the menu give different sentences for two buildings, in the same build:
| Slot | Bar tooltip | Build menu |
|---|---|---|
| Factory | Creates railroads and spawns trains | Produces units |
| Port | Sends trade ships to generate gold | Allows naval units |
Both are quoted rather than reconciled, because a manual that silently picks one is guessing about which sentence the developer considered current.
The four you will buy first
Defence post at 50,000 is the cheapest thing on the board and the only one under a hundred thousand. Cities, factories and ports all cost 125,000 and do different jobs: capacity, income, and access to water. Below them the prices jump by an order of magnitude — a silo at 1,000,000, a SAM at 1,500,000, and a MIRV at 35,000,000.
That gap is the whole build order. Everything cheap is in the first four slots; everything after them is a mid-match purchase that costs more than eight cities.
What the counters mean
Clicking another player opens a panel with six small counters under their gold: cities, factories, ports, and three more icons. They are counts of what that player has built, not levels. We read the icons but have not verified which counter maps to which building for the last three, so this page does not label them.
Where each one is described
Four of the ten have their own page here, because they are the ones a new player buys and the ones with mechanics worth a number: cities, factories, ports and railroads. The war end is on War and Defense.
