Giant World: 97 nations
The Giant World Map defaults to 97 nations, the highest count in the client, and it is large enough that the game's own minimum zoom cannot frame it.

97 nations
It is the top of the table by a wide margin: the next highest is Game of Thrones at 71, then World at 61. In our Giant World run the lobby listed 498 players at the 24 second mark, which is what 97 nations plus the default 400 bots looks like.
You cannot see it
At minimum zoom the window covered Antarctica and part of Australia — perhaps a third of the map. That is not a bug; it is the consequence of a map sized for a long match. Practically it means you play Giant World by region and read the rest of the world off the leaderboard, not off the map.
Giant World against World
| Map | Nations | What it feels like |
|---|---|---|
| World | 61 | the default pick; still too big to see, but a shorter campaign |
| Giant World Map | 97 | the long one; more nations, more territory, more time |
World is what the client selects when you first open the picker, so it is what most players meet first. Giant World Map is the same idea taken further, and the default 400 bots mean the load is real: our performance overlay read 44 fps average with 147 MB allocated, on a headless run at 1422×804. Treat that as a baseline to reproduce, not as a claim about your machine.
When to pick it
When you want a match that lasts, or when you want to test expansion and supply over distance rather than a single border. Not when you have ten minutes.
It is the default you did not choose
Open the picker for the first time and World is already selected — 61 nations, not 97. Giant World Map is the card you have to reach for, which is why most people's first match is World and most people never play this one. If the default feels long, the next card over is considerably longer.
Both carry the same 400 bots by default, and both are big enough that the leaderboard — not the map — is where you read the state of the match: the panel lists every nation with its share, gold and troops, which the map cannot show you at any zoom.
What this page does not claim
We did not run a match to completion on either map, so there is no claim here about how long a 97-nation game lasts. The 498 players at 24 seconds is a registration count, not a duration.
